This is a written guarantee that your puppy/dog is free from any genetic/congenital problem until the age of 3 years. The genetic/congenital problem must be one that does affect or will affect the QUALITY OF LIFE of the puppy/dog. If any problem of the above mentioned is found within his/her first 3 years, please
EMAIL us(not a phone call) FIRST to discuss the situation BEFORE bringing the puppy/dog to the vet for the problem.
You will receive an email response within 48 hours at the most, in
most cases. If you believe that it is a needed emergency vet
visit that can't wait for a 48+ hour response, then it isn't
anything that is our fault and is something on your side, and you
will be 100% responsible for the bill. We must hear from you when the first symptoms are noticed, or this guarantee is invalid even if you think that the symptoms may be harmless.
If we find that there is a problem that is covered under this guarantee, then
we likely will have you provide us with a vet-signed statement as to the nature of the problem. If, after our vets
and ourselves review the material from your vet, there is an agreement that there is a genetic/congenital problem that does or will affect the quality of life of the puppy/dog, then we will give another puppy of equal money value as a replacement.
We do not pay for shipping nor any transportation costs, though. You are welcome to keep the affected puppy/dog as well.
There may be a few instances, though, in which we require the return of a
younger puppy in order to receive a replacement puppy. We will never
require you to return your already older puppy nor adult dog though. We do not pay for any associated vet care costs. If hip dysplasia is suspected, x-rays will be required to be taken AFTER the dog turns 2 years old AND BE SENT TO US FIRST to check for correct positioning, and then we will send them to OFA for their evaluation,
if needed. There must be a thorough discussion of the situation
by email between us and the puppy buyer immediately when the problem is suspected,
BEFORE the puppy is brought to the vet for the problem, and throughout the entire situation for this guarantee to be valid.
We do NOT pay for emergency care under any circumstances.
If one or both testicles on a male puppy have not fully descended, this guarantee does not include this problem because vets highly recommend that all puppies/dogs be neutered.
This guarantee does not include allergies.
In order to obtain the full benefits of this genetic guarantee,
your puppy must be on large-breed puppy food/medium-breed puppy food. Research is finding that rapidly growing large-breed puppies are more inclined to exhibit developmental bone problems and that controlling calcium, phosphorus, and calorie levels in their diet promotes normal skeletal development. Your puppy, therefore, should be on large-breed puppy food/medium-breed
puppy food until fully grown, which for your puppy is up until approximately the date listed on this genetic guarantee
of which a copy will be in the folder given to you when you receive your puppy.
Also will be listed whether your puppy should be on large-breed or
medium breed puppy food. .
You need to save the large-breed puppy food/medium-breed
puppy food labels on each bag of puppy food that you buy until the age that he/she is fully grown.

Each of our female puppies must be spayed by the age of 7 months,
and our male puppies must be neutered at the latest by the age of 12-24 months with
Northern Glories determining the
latest age/date to be neutered by according to when we believe the
male puppy will be almost fully grown in order for the genetic and
general health guarantees to be valid. (Neutering by the age of 6
months gives the greatest behavior changes, however.) If anything
occurs before we receive the required info as stated in our Policies in the line of what these two guarantees cover, then we will reimburse the puppy buyer after the puppy is neutered or spayed and
we receive that which is required as stated in our Policies. This all must be sent to us by the time
that the female puppy turns 12 months old and within 2 months after
the latest date that the male puppy must be neutered by which will
be written on your copy of this genetic guarantee that we will give
to you, and not a day after, for our two guarantees to be valid and for any reimbursement to be made. Also, the dog must be kept current on all recommended veterinary vaccinations, heartworm preventative, recommended fecal exams, flea and tick prevention, and all else that your vet suggests for this guarantee to be valid.
THIS GUARANTEE IS NOT VALID UNLESS THE ABOVE IS FOLLOWED AS WELL AS
OUR GENERAL HEALTH GUARANTEE AND OUR EIGHT POLICIES. THIS GUARANTEE
ALSO IS NOT VALID IF THE PUPPY/DOG CHANGES HOMES WITHOUT THE CONSENT
OF JAMES AND PATRICIA KOOL.

GENERAL HEALTH GUARANTEE
We guarantee that each one our puppies are healthy. However, we must hear within the first 45 days that you take the puppy home/receive
the puppy if something appears to be wrong. If you find that your puppy's health in general during the first 45 days does not appear to be O.K., please
EMAIL us(not a phone call) IMMEDIATELY and discuss with us the situation BEFORE bringing him/her to the vet for the suspected problem.
Please WAIT for our response which will be within 24 hours or less.
If you believe that it is a needed emergency vet visit that can't
wait for a 24 hour response, then it isn't anything that is our
fault and is something on your side, and you will be 100%
responsible for the bill. After discussing the situation, if we believe that you should bring the puppy to the vet, and your vet and our vets find something wrong with the puppy that is our fault, then we will pay your vet bill
up to $100 OR exchange for another puppy, which ever Northern
Glories decides. We do not pay for shipping nor any
transportation costs, though. If your vet, however, charges an excessive price compared to the vets in our area, then we will only pay what would have been charged by vets here,
but only up to $100. If there is not discussion of the problem by
email between us and the puppy buyer immediately when the problem is first suspected and BEFORE the puppy is brought to the vet, this guarantee is invalid.
If we ask for the puppy to be returned to us, and the new owner
refuses, then this guarantee is invalid. We do NOT pay for
emergency care under any circumstances.
In order to obtain the full benefits of this general health guarantee, we must hear immediately when the first symptoms are noticed. Also, you must follow all of your vet's and our vets' recommendations in the areas pertaining to general health: Some of these will be listed below, but you must ask your vet for his/her recommendations for proper general health principles: Follow the 10-day switch for puppy food, get the shots on time and keep your puppy out of public places until all the series of puppy shots is completed, give a heartworm preventative monthly that is also for the 3 major worms, and have a type of flea and tick prevention.
We also require a puppy and dog food that has NO corn in it of any
type for this
general health guarantee to be fully valid, in particular as far as
digestive issues are concerned. Many puppies and dogs do not
appear to be able to handle corn of any type in puppy/dog food. A
puppy/dog food may be used, however, that has corn in it as long as the puppy/dog is not having soft stools and/or
diarrhea while using a brand with corn in it.
This guarantee does NOT include worming of any type, including
all worms and parasites. We have done all the worming allowed by
our vets including for parasites, and it is the new owner's
responsibility to have a worming check done and to finish the
worming process if needed.
Any reimbursement that must be made will be done after the puppy
owner fulfills our Policy # 8. This guarantee is only valid if this all is sent to us by the time the female puppy turns 12 months old and the male puppy turns 26 months old and not a day after.
